Die lebensgroßen Zeichnungen des
Artist-in-Residence ARMSROCK sind Porträts aktueller Arbeits- und Lebens- zusammenhänge und zugleich gesellschaftskritische Evaluationen. Im Atelier arbeitet er mit Bleistift oder Kohle - seit kurzem auch mit Kratzwerkzeugen auf belichtetem Film.Es entstehen Zeichnungen, die Momentaufnahmen erfassen, dokumentieren und spiegeln. Er klebt oder projiziert seine Portraits in den urbanen Raum und überlässt sie dem zufälligen Geschehen bis sich das Papier auflöst oder die Folie im Projektor verbrennt.
Während seines einmonatigen Aufenthalts in Wien (Januar 2011) projezierte Armsrock nächtens Zeichnungen auf Türen und Fassaden der Stadt.
Der Künstler hat die Holztafeln für sein Werk der Street Art Passage in eine Skulptur in Form von zwei Aufstellern verwandelt, die die imaginäre Ausstellung "Spartial Dissent" im imaginären "MMOUK - Museum für Momentan Okkupation, Untersuchung und Kommunikation" ankündigt und so die Frage der aktuellen Imagekampagne des MQ "Zufall, Unfall oder Konzept?" thematisiert.

The exhibition places the museum in a context of direct work with fragment realisms. It investigates the concepts behind a genre that is determined by the subject matter of the city, streets, automobiles and the development of modern metropolises. objects and substances regarded as belonging to the 'real' world of things in confrontation with this reassessment of staging artistic activities in space and time, while acting 'off stage', points out radical questions in the current discourse. Almost performative sculptural unions with natural findings, yielding open-ended moments of synchronicity. An improvisational methodology and a flexibility of form.
This collection of communities of objects, could be read as essays on changeability and uncertainty Hinged upon a fabric of invisible installations as a restructuring of discoveries. New perspectives and new ways of seeing, a puzzle to comment on and think about and one which is occasionally amusing.
Entrance Free to the MMOUK for the whole year. This includes all special exhibitions, symposiums, and film presentations. The lectures and discussions will take place in German and English.
